For small amounts of mixing to get the protein from the meat has anyone tried the submersible mixer that can be put in water for mixing. I was wondering will it mix to fast and heat up the meat. Is there such a thing as over mixing?

I’ve become spoiled and have a 50 lb that will do as little as 15 lb batches and hooks up to a few different grinders (surprisingly) but even a hand crank one is a lot easier than doing it with your hands.

I think it would work but you might smear it. Yes, you can overmix but it is really rare for a home user to run into that. In my opinion, erring on the side of over mixing is better than under mixing.
