It’s basically a simple syrup infused with roasted hickory bark, and from what I’ve read is supposed to be like a smokey maple syrup.</p>

I’d imagine it’d give you both some sweetness and some smoke?  My worry would be how much sweetness?  Simple Syrup can be overly sweet for meats!</p>
