I made this buckboard bacon after reading a conversation here a while back and threw it in the freezer and forgot about it until this weekend.

It turned out great! Unfortunately it’s been so long I don’t remember the exact recipe. From what I remember it was your basic bacon cure. I held it about a week in the fridge prior to smoking.

It gets pretty curly when cooked so I’d recommend a bacon press

I may have used this recipe but it’s been so long it’s hard to say for sure.

That looks great! I should get my Waltons order this week so I will be making snack sticks and kielbasa over next weekend but you can bet I may try making this bacon too!

Process seems simple enough and results look 10 times better than anything from the store!!!
